Sorry Lux

The title says it all,  I am very sorry Lux. But I had no clue that the curlers were up that high.

I guess I should backtrack so you guys know what I'm talking about.  So my new friend Lux came over to my house and one thing to another and we ended up in my bathroom with a set of hair curlers set up to the highest setting. Somehow the curlers became twisted in her hair and the ends of her hair was burnt when I rolled the curlers down her hair. 

We had to cut off two inches of her long blonde hair. I was and still am super mad at myself but Lux wasn't.  She laughed it off and said that stuff happens. How cool of her?  Very cool. She even said that she wanted a hair cut anyways.

Lux if you are reading this I am very sorry that I ruined your hair.

It's almost time!!!

It's almost Christmas Eve! I can't believe it's almost here. I wrapped my gifts that I brought earlier this month and put them under the great big tree downstairs in our living room. I even took a few pictures of me by the tree. I shared a few on Twitter and even updated my banner and profile picture.

Sorry for the short update I just wanted to keep you guys updated on the life of me.  Also I was thinking of starting a new thing on my blog,  a question of the day!  Today's question is one of the great debate questions in my family.  Real vs fake, trees that is.  We have a faux tree this year but we had a real one last year.  So what about you? Leave me a comment and let me know about your tree (if you have one).

Pin Pon Dasshu fail

  Today I made some Taiyaki (fish shaped 'sweet cake' filled with a filling like custard cream or red bean paste) when I got in from school. I'm a huge sweets person so I ate most of them with the help of Zinnie and Charlie. We made a bunch but still had a lot left after we ate. Charlie, the joker of the group said that we should go ding dong ditching in her neighborhood. Ding Dong Ditch or Pin Pon Dasshu is when you ring a door bell and then you run off as fast as you can. So me being me surely wanted in on this fun. Zinnia not so much, she didn't feel like it was right to ring someone's bell without really needing anything. She thought that maybe we can leave some custard cream tayaki on the porch before we run off so that the person gets a sweet surprise when they answer the door.

We packed up several bags of the sweets and changed into our tennies and tied our long hair into ponytails before we started our childlike prank. We quietly tipped toed out of the house and acrossed my lawn. Our first target was a few houses down from ours, Mr. Johnson. Trying to hide behind the bushes at the foot of his house was difficult. We all weren't 10 anymore and our giggles didn't help. Charlie climbed over me and handed a small plastic zip lock baggie to Zinnia. She explained that all she had to is drop the bag on the porch and ring the bell (pin pon) and run as fast as you can (dasshu). With a nod of agreement Zippy Zinnie grabbed the bag and started to run across the street and up to Mr. Johnson's yard. I looked away for a second at Charlotte who couldn't stop laughing. By time I looked up Zinnia was already back across the street and looking at me as she pointed at Mr. Johnson's house. We watched as she opened the door and looked around confused at his empty porch. When he finally noticed the sweets he picked them up and smiled.

"Your turn Miss Okazaki, " Charlotte handed me a bag, it was still warm and smelled of sweet vanilla cream. "You have to do the Valentine's house." Darn, I was stuck with doing my cousin's house. She has the loudest and oldest sounding porch in the neighborhood. Since I never turn down a prank, I clutched onto the bag and crawled out from behind the bush and started to walk down the street to her house. It's hard being a ninja when it's tons of leaves all over the sidewalk.

I started running up the street to her house but a twig laying on the ground quickly ruined that. My knees was okay,  due to the fact I was wearing sweat pants. I rolled over onto my back and rested for a second before I got up and ran carefully to her house.  The porch groaned as I tip toed on it. 
I heard her dog barking loudly so I quickly dropped the bag and rang the bell.  I heard footsteps so I ran really really fast away from the house.  Panting heavily I fell onto the grass beside the girls when I caught up to them. I was the slowest girl so when I got back to them I seen that the bag of Taiyaki was empty. Man,  I'm slow.

After a while we headed back to my house to warm up with some hot chocolate. Yummy yummy.

Whoa this was a long post,  sorry.

Ps- I'm moving on from the picture thief, if she wants to be a thief then so be it.

One year and a picture thief.

I just realized that I have been blogging for over a year now.  I was going through my blog and ran into my blog from last Thanksgiving. A whole year of blogging, wow.  Thanks you guys for sitting around and listening to me tell you all my story. I don't have many people listening to me so I am extra grateful for the people that do.  Thank you again.

I know you are probably thinking why am I up so late?  Well I was having problems sleeping so I checked my twitter and it turns out that the same girl that tried to hack my profile (and failed) also stole a picture of me that I took last Christmas. I never thought something like this would ever happen to me and it did.  It's not a good feeling knowing someone stole from you.  It kinda makes me not want to post pictures online anymore.  I think that why I really don't go on my Instagram anymore. I just wish I knew what to do or how to feel about her now.  

I hope tomorrow I can have something happier to end a blog post on but right now I don't.  Goodnight and thanks for reading.

Christmas in October?

I know it isn't even November yet but I have Christmas on the brain. I really want to whip my table top tree out and decorate it. Its just that I love winter holidays. Most of all I love the snow. Downtown Philly looks amazing under a fresh blanket of snow. Every year I try to go downtown as much as possible just to see the store fronts and pretty lights.

In my family we put the tree up after Thanksgiving dinner. I can't wait, I'm counting down the days to one of the most wonderful time of the year.

Catch up time

My computer exploded so I haven't been able to update my blog in some time. So now I am blogging from my smart phone.

I don't know you guys and dolls but I am super excited for school! I know its geeky but I love the first day school. I just love fresh new school supplies. I mean who doesn't like a new backpack and tape! Oh glob I love tape! Like I really love tape! And what about new clubs, I can't wait to start clubs and to be honest I miss my school building.

Oh yeah..that box from Hawaii is still on the corner of my desk. I haven't opened it yet..and I'm not in a rush to do so.

Happy (Belated) Birthday blog!

I can't believe it's been a month since I updated my blog, I am so sorry. But here I am with good news. Guess who is now a whole year older?

Did you say me?  Well yup, my birthday was the 30th (I'm 15)! I had a very sweet birthday. My two moms surprised me with a at home party. Sorry for the lack of photos, I'll explain that later. All my friends was there, Charlie, Anais, Alana, Zinnia, Axel and two new friends Lux and Rhyme. I know, me Lux are kinda friends now which is good. I know she hasn't had the best past but as of the last few weeks when I haven't blogged we grew closer as friends. Rhyme, she just moved back into the city a month ago. Her and Anais became instant friends, they knew each other from summer camp. I had no idea she lived around here before, Anais quickly explained that she is one of her best friends.

My parents decorated the entire house with rainbow colored decorations. I wish I still had my camera but we lost it in the great orange juice spill of June 2012. I swear I should have been paying attention but I was busy talking to Axel (who knew he liked Baka and Test?) when I threw my hands back to laugh my camera slipped and sunk into the picture of juice and its gone now. Which sucks because I had really awesome pictures of the party.

But way before that happened we watched my most favorite movie. Ponyo which is a Studio Ghibli anime movie. Normally my friends aren't to fond of anime but they all squeezed onto my mom's sectional sofa while the adults played cards in the den. I even heard a few very girly 'Aww's from the end of the sofa where Anais and Rhyme was. Axel and I was very into the movie. Zinnia was one of the Awww-ers at the end of the sofa. Charlie and Alana was watching in between texts. Once the movie was finished we watched a little of Nichijou- My Ordinary Life, its a bout a robot girl who wants to appear more normal. Well its kinda about a lot of random stuff. I loved re-watching the anime with my friends but we only lasted a few episodes before it was time for cake. We munched on snacks and stuff in between episodes of Nichijou.

My aunt (Anais' mom) made me a nyan cat cake. It was almost too sweet to eat but hey I love cake and it tasted great. Next came presents. My first gift was a pair of brown boots of The Valentine's twins, I love them. Who doesn't need a nice pair of brown boots? Zinnia gave me a new journal, its covered in wild zinnia flowers. It's a really beautiful book. Charlie gave me a gift card to Amazon.com. I have no idea what to get. Axel gave me a box full of his old manga! Can you believe it a box full of manga!!  Rhyme gave me a singing card that she made her self. How cool! There was only one more gift on the table. Yay! It must be the gift from my moms but wait, they gave me my gift this morning. My newly broken camera. So who was this last gift from.

I grabbed the the big wrapped box, it was covered in big hibiscus print paper. Hmmm, I looked at my moms and back at the present. Anais nudged me and told me to open it. I opened it and inside it was a brown box with a postal label. I quickly read it. Hawaii? I asked out loud. The room started spinning and I felt a little dizzy. I wanted to open it but my hands wasn't listening to my brain. I just sat there starring at the box. Was this from my birth mother....

Paper Dolls and Nerdy Cakes

I was bored yesterday so I went to this THIS SITE and poked around playing with some digital paper dolls. After a while I created this beauty.

It's a way older version of me. I want that shirt she has on but in real life. I mean look at it! Its awesome. The picture is cut off a bit but she has on red chucks. I even have those glasses but I only need them in school or when playing the game. The tattoo sleeve is amazing and I really want a sleeve when I'm when old enough to get one. I like the water so it would most likely look like the one above.

Also while in bed I bumped into a YouTuber that makes Nerdy Cakes, her YouTube page is right here. She made this very cute Nyan Cat cake. I really want to make it but I will have to wait until I feel better. The video with the how-to is right here, mew mew. She has tons of other really cool cakes and cake pops.

Sick Partay!

I am not feeling so well so I am up in my room at 2:30 with the covers wrapped around me. I think I have a cold which sucks because tomorrow the girls wanted to have a pre-birthday party for me but that wont happen. Maybe they might come over tomorrow?

I hope so I could really use the pick me up.

Anais did come by over earlier with Zinnia. They came with gifts. Anais let me hold on to Socko and Zinni brought me some chicken and rice soup in my panda bento box. How did she know its my favorite? They even stayed over for a few hours and we sat around watching Degrassi.

I have to get sleep, I will try to write more tomorrow.

Me vs The Big Book!

For the last year or so I have been trying to read this book,

And so far it has been winning but this summer the book wont win! I shall be victorious this year. In the past I have gotten to page 50. Yea, not good at the all. The book is 808 pages long and is broken down into parts called The [insert color name here] Pillow Box.

My daily goal is at least 20-30 pages a day. I want to go low and fully take in the book. I will finish this book this summer. It will not win, besides the book is watching me.

I love the cover art by the way. More tomorrow I am super sleepy but I will keep you updated on twitter and here to let you know what page I am on.

Meet Rumor and her puppy family!

I wanted to introduce you guys to my Nintendog Rumor.

She is a Siberian Husky. She is my oldest dog, I started the game with her. I started playing the game on Feburary 29th , 2012. She was my first puppy in the game. The coolest part of this is that she doesnt age so she looks the exact same way she looked when I brought her home from the kennel.

This is a picture of her with her sister Daisy (a dalmatian) and FLuffee (a maltese), her brother. She also has a sister named Lux and a brother named Finn. Finn is a Shetland Sheepdog and Lux is a Golden Retriver. How weird is it that I have a puppy named after a person I met months after. Let me see if I can find a picrure of Lux and Finn (named after Finn the human from Adventure Time)

Here's Finn, ignore the floating cookie. I was feeding him a treat after he did a trick. Shelties are super cute and Finn is very smart.

Rumor's sister Lux loves playing soccer. Tricks arent a favorite of hers she rather play with Rumor and Daisy.

Rumor is the best on walks she normally doesnt run to fast or roll in the dirt.

I love taking her on late walks, here is a picture of her giving me a present that she found while walking.

She is the perfect pet and she has been the eaisest puppy to train and take care of.

Pride and Ponytails

Hey guys, its almost lunch period so I thought hey, why not blog? So here I am. The only problem is that I have no idea what to blog about.

Oh, I could talk about how hot it is in here! Long hair and heat don't mix and mines is almost sweeping the floor. I don't know how to braid, so I cant even do pull a Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled and have cute little kids super braid it because there isn't any little kids around. The only one that can braid that is willing to do my hair Anais but she has been super busy with leading the LGBT program at our school. I'm not LGBT but my moms falls into that family. So I am a member of the club in support of equal love and rights for all. Sometimes I wanna cut my hair but I know I would miss it when its gone. I could always ask Charlie to braid it but then ill have to be around Axel and lately I have been having weird feelings about him that need to pushed into the bottom of my closet. He is after all my best friends brother after all. That's kinda gross.

Ugh lets change subjects please.

Oh have you seen the trailers for Brave!! I have and I am super excited. But I will admit the Japanese trailer (which I barely understood with out the subtitles) was way better then the North America trailer. I think its pretty awesome that Pixar has a movie where the female lead looks kick-butt. And a huge plus she is a princess that doesn't seem to be chasing down a guy. A+ for that! She has the coolest hair and she is a archer and she has a sword. Kinda like another fictional hero like mines, Fionna the Human from Adventure Time and Flame Princess.

Wow this is getting pretty long gotta go its taco bar today.

Twins

I didn't run into Lux yesterday in school but I did hang out with Anais and her twin Alana. They are so different in many ways but they seem similar at the same time. I just noticed this yesterday but they both eat the same. For lunch we had fries and pizza they both eat their pizza backwards, crust first! Weird huh? They also dip their pizza and fries in honey mustard. That was bit gross but they looked at me like I was crazy when I dipped my french fries in the strawberry milkshake.

They are both girly girly girls, its nothing wrong with that. They both love pink and zebra print. Alana even gave her twin a duck tape wallet. Its pretty awesome looking. I am heading to the gallery tomorrow to look for some more duck tape.

Alana keeps her brown hair straight and Anais has wavy hair that is dark. Alana likes shopping in stores for her clothes and Anais raids her mom closet for old clothes.

Having a twin looks awesome, you would always have someone to talk to if you get scared or if you are worried. I'm a only child. I kinda wish I had a sister or a brother. But right now I like it just being my moms and me.

About that girl from before.

Over these past few weeks I have been trying to get to know Lux. She's the girl who told us about her past with her mom and her her mom's drug problem. Well last week I tried to catch up with her and ask her about that necklace she wears.

"Hey Lux!" I called to her as I ran up to her. She was at her locker shoving books into it.

"Ushio?" Lux asked a she pulled out a thick science book.

  "Yeah, its Ushio. What's up with that chain?" I pointed to the tiny gold plated 'Julie'' necklace hanging around her neck. She looked down at the necklace and then back up at me.

"What about it?" Lux sighed and closed the locker.

"I mean your name is Lux not Julie."

"My mom name is Julie..this was given to me when I turned 10 that's when she got it so that's when I got it." She pointed to the necklace.

"Oooooh I see..." Then for a like a few minutes I just stood there.

"So which class do you have next?" She finally broke the silence. I told her I had music and we parted ways.

Weird day at Innerstar...

(the) New Kid In School.

I didn't tell you yet did I? There is a new girl in school. I don't know that much about her besides the little we learned about her in creative writing class. Even though we are in different grades my school has all of the electives by skill level not grade. So I'm advanced in writing so I take some writing classes with the upper class men.

Well every time we get a new student we have to write a essay about the topic the teacher gives us. This time it was family. I quickly wrote down a page long paper on my moms and what little I knew about my birth parents.

But here's the kicker we had to go up in front of the class and read the paper, as much as we wanted. I went first, I read up until the part where I started talking about my birth parents. A few of the upper class men laughed softly as I spoke with pride about my same sex parents. I should be used to it by now but I guess I'm not.

A few more students went up and read to us about their families until it was Lux's turn. She stood in front of the class with her paper held down by her chest. She had on leggings and ballet flats, she had on a purple knit hat. I kinda like her tee shirt, it had a funky graphic on it.

She started talking and I swore I was only one this focused. She just looked so calm like she had done this a million times. I remembered my first time doing this, I was scared out of my boots. Not her, she seemed calmed and relaxed, like this was second nature to her.

She spoke of many things, of things most kids our age keep buried deep inside of our closets. Secrets and truths that most people don't even tell their diaries let alone a whole class of 30 kids.

Lux pulled the paper down and sat it on the teachers desk and traveled back to her seat.

I'm sure what it is about her but I know I want to learn more about her trouble past and how in the world did she get so brave...I could learn a thing or two from her.

Summer in April? Also Im a bad mom!

Yes you read that right.

I swear last night it felt like Summer in April here in Philly. It was so hot I had to turn my AC on! That's crazy, in April! Normally no matter the weather, even if its hot out I sleep with a thin sheet on. Nope, not last night.

Oh, I know his is a bit off topic but I found my 3DS! I thought I lost it. It was burried in the bottom of my closet inside of my hoodie pocket. Dont even ask how it got there, Im not even sure how. I swear it has a life of its own.

It turns out Im a terrible mother! :( Well Im a terrible puppy mother. My puppies were all dirty, hungry and chubby. Let me explain. Im a huge Nintendo fan and dog lover so I love Nintendogs. I brought the newest Nintendogs, Nintendogs + Cats in 3D. Let me just say that the puppies are cute so are the kittens but the kittens hate the dogs and they just sit in the house. Whereas the dogs you get to take on walks and enter in fun mini games where you can earn money to buy treats, house upgrades and furniture. And on top of them doing nothing they are so stanking expensive. Ill get more into Nintendogs some other blog entry. I like to keeep my blogs nice and short.

7 things about me!

Hey Bloggie readers, I have been tagged!!!! In the Versatile Blogger, blog thingy (unsure what to call it.) by http://thegreengirlswrite.blogspot.com/. I have to post 7 random facts about about me. Well, here we go!!


1.) Im a huge Anime fan and get a little upset when I get into 'fights' with Anais when she compares Japanese and Korean Animes to American cartoons. They are completly different in WAY more ways than one.

2.) I use kitty emoticons in text messages. My favorite one is =^.^=, Its a smiling cat. Cats are just cute, so stinking cute!


3.) I know a little Japanese and a little Spanish. My moms are teaching me. I suck now, but in a few years when Im in 12th grade I hope I can speak it a little better. Im trying to learn the characters for my name. Its not going so well. But I hope and the will to get better.

4.) I love to read..manga. Mangas are comicbook styled Japanese graphic novels. Most are a little too grown up for me but some like Clannad arent. They arent in color, well most of them arent. You read them 'backwards'. Thanks to mw reading manga for all these years I read everything, including American magazines back cover first.

5.) My most favorite colors are blue and green. Not traditional girl colors, but awesome colors anyways. Not to meantion Fionna wears those colors. To me blue and green seem to be cool and calm colors, so relaxing.

6.) Im a HUGE, MASSIVE fan of the animated cartoon show Adventure Time!!! My most favorite character off of the show is Fionna the Human. She's from the episode Fionna and Cake. That episode is a new favorite of mine, but I hate absolutly hate the ending. I dont want to spoil the episode but Fionna is one kick-butt action packed girl like me. We could be twins, well not really but then again twins dont have to look the same.

7.) This is my biggest random fact, Im still kinda afraid of the dark. I know it makes no sense, a highschooler being afraid of the dark. But I cant help it. I have to sleep with my window curtains open to let the moon light fill my bedroom with light. My glow and the dark stars kinda help. I not ashamed of this, everyone has fears. So why be ashamed of them? All of my friends know and sometimes we joke about it. But the jokes dont bother me. They are just jokes.

Where have I been?

You may have wondered, 'Hey, where have Ushi been? I missed her strange little self'. Well thanks for worrying. Im back now, so worry no more.

First lets get the boring stuff out of the way, I didnt go the new york. I know, sad face. I really wanted to go but 'something' came up. Im not sure what something is, Im just telling you want mom told me.
